Since its establishment in 1982, Electric Power Technology Development Center (MATN) has played role in the development of technologies in power industry. We have performed the dual task of meeting the present and future demands of electric services while making a better use of available resources, preserving the environment and maintaining costs as low as possible. It is obvious that research has produced the most powerful tool of the modern – age electric power. Also electricity and electric power is a principal driver of progress in the modern societies and the power of research is obvious in the global economy. This is manifested by:

*      Cutting costs down and working more smartly use of innovation, information, techniques and technologies.

MATN has a staff of 320 permanent professional employees and about 150 professional temporary as well as the personal at its subsidiaries.We have invested considerably on providing adequate conditions to achieve our objectives. MATN main buildings have been built in northwest of Tehran. We have had ISO 9001 certificate as well as ISO 14000 certificate. MATN enjoys a library and advanced information dissemination systems and has access to most recent technical information. At present, our customers are mainly constituted by government and private agencies, electrical utilities and electric power industries. MATN has 14 active technical departments.
